“Advanced Programs for All” was a program designed to expand opportunities for advanced coursework for all students regardless of background. In collaboration with the School Board, Prince William County Schools earned Honor Roll distinction from the College Board and increased the percentage of its seniors, approximately 34%, who graduate having passed a college-level or AP exam. This year, PWCS earned Magna Award recognition for its work in expanding opportunities for underrepresented groups.

Michael Mulgrew serves as the High School Associate Superintendent for Prince William County Public Schools. He has served in this capacity since 2005.

Dr. Steven Walts

Superintendent, Prince William County Public Schools
Dr. Steven L. Walts is in his 14th year as Superintendent of Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS). He has long advocated for opening up advanced courses for all students. During his tenure, PWCS has seen dramatic increases in minority achievement.

Justin Wilk

School Board Member, Prince William County Schools
Justin Wilk serves as the School Board member for the Potomac District. In additional to serving on the School Board, Mr. Wilk has extensive experience as a teacher, educational consultant, and advocate.
