During the months of January and February the VSBA requested award-winning Excellence in Workforce Readiness proposals on how school divisions best prepare students through innovative programs for Workforce Readiness. In March, thirty-five school divisions presented their programs for review by a five-judge panel and today three programs are being recognized for their Excellence in Workforce Readiness. Your students deserve the best that we as School Board members can provide in Workforce Readiness opportunities. VSBA is showcasing the following programs: Carroll County – “Agriculture Science (Food Safety Initiative)”; Montgomery County – “Building Capacity for Work-Based Learning Experiences”; and Hampton City – “Academies of Hampton”. Come, see and learn what these school divisions have done and what your school division can also implement.
