School Safety & Security Liability: What You Need to Know

In a changing world that includes dangerous and violent threats, our school leaders, administration, and staffs must work harder than ever to meet safety requirements and provide a secure learning environment. In response to these threats, Virginia school boards are weighing various options of providing essential safety and security for our students.  In this session, VACORP staff will discuss the options you have to secure your schools, the proper safeguards you need to take to protect your school division from liability, and best practices being used by school divisions across the Commonwealth to improve safety.

Nancy Sullivan

Legal Counsel, VACORP
Nancy Sullivan is Legal Counsel for VACORP.  She is a graduate of the University of Delaware and a 1986 graduate of T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. Nancy has been providing legal counsel for Virginia public school divisions for fourteen years.
